This image was taken when Buckland was studying in the UK. It came at a time when there was a renewed interest in colour and ‘looking’ in photography. This image marked a new shift in Buckland’s development as a young photographer with the realisation of how important it is to have a sense of ‘knowing’.
It was a simple scene, which literally, ‘screamed’ for a camera. It was spontaneous and definite. Buckland merely framed and released the shutter.
